Diversified Technique
Diversified technique (DT) is the most common manipulative technique used by Chiropractors. Like many chiropractic and osteopathic manipulative techniques, Diversified is characterized by a high velocity low amplitude thrust.
Diversified is considered the most generic chiropractic manipulative technique and is differentiated from other techniques in that its objective is to restore proper movement and alignment of spine and joint dysfunction.
Cox® Technique from Casas Adobes Chiropractic
Casas Adobes Chiropractic offers multiple treatment options to fit your specific needs, wants and conditions.
Cox® Technique is spinal manipulation performed on a specially designed chiropractic instrument. A Cox Table or flexion-distraction which has a movable headpiece and a movable caudal piece (that part on which a patient's legs lie). Each section flexes, extends, laterally bends and circumducts (combination of flexion and lateral flexion), and long-y-axis plane distracts.
Cox® Technique reduces pain due to disc herniation, slipped disc, ruptured disc, facet syndrome, stenosis, spondylolisthesis, neck pain, arm pain, leg pain, sciatica and much more.
Thompson Technique
The Thompson Technique or "Segmental Drop System" takes advantage of the spine's inherent design of the joints in order to move the spinal segment in the direction that will improve the motion of the segment with the one above and below.
The majority of spinal adjustments utilizing the Thompson Technique has the patient lying prone (face down.) This is the basis for Dr. Clay's theory of proper spinal adjustment and the driving force that led him to invent the drop table.

The Activator Method
The Activator Method Chiropractic Technique is a gentle, low-force approach to chiropractic care. The technique has been used safely on patients of all ages since the late 1960s, bringing relief to people with a variety of health concerns.
This technique utilizes specific protocols to detect spinal joint dysfunction, analyze leg length inequality, identify issues with body mechanics and test neurological reflexes. By analyzing these results, an Activator doctor can initiate the process of restoring spinal balance in the patient, gently and effectively.
